For Hyundai Sonata 2020-2022 Front Inner Fender Liner Left Side

Description

2020-2022 Hyundai Sonata Front Left Inner Fender Liner (OEM 86811L0000 Replacement)

Restore the original look and function of your 2020-2022 Hyundai Sonata with this front left inner fender liner for the driver side. It is built as a vehicle-specific replacement for owners and repair shops who need a part that matches the factory design instead of a universal piece that has to be modified to fit. This part replaces OEM part number 86811L0000.

The inner fender liner, also called a splash shield or wheel well liner, sits inside the wheel opening between the tire and the engine bay. It keeps water, mud, road salt and stones away from wiring, the headlight backs and the inner body structure. For other vehicles and positions, see our wheel well liner replacements. A torn or missing liner leaves those parts exposed and can also let debris collect where it causes corrosion.

Signs that the liner needs replacing include torn or missing sections, a liner that hangs down and rubs the tire, broken mounting tabs and missing fasteners. A damaged liner can also make extra road noise and let water spray onto parts that should stay dry, so it is worth replacing as soon as the damage is found.

Fitment is listed for Hyundai Sonata model years 2020, 2021 and 2022. It is for the driver side (left) of the vehicle. The OEM reference number is 86811L0000. Partslink interchange: HY1248182. As always, confirm the part number and trim level against your vehicle before installation. We stock a range of replacement parts for Hyundai vehicles, so it is easy to source everything for the repair in one place.

The main details of this replacement are listed below so you can check them against your vehicle. It has a matte black finish to match the factory appearance of this part. This is the left-hand (driver side) part; the opposite side is sold separately. It replaces OEM number 86811L0000 and cross-references to Partslink HY1248182. It is listed for the 2020-2022 Hyundai Sonata.

Installing Your Sonata Fender Liner

Most liners can be replaced with basic hand tools. Raise the vehicle safely or turn the wheels for access, remove the old liner and its fasteners, and clean out any built-up debris in the wheel well. Fit the new liner into the opening and secure it at the original mounting points, replacing any broken clips at the same time.

Inner fender liners are often overlooked, but they play an important role in protecting the engine bay and inner body from water, salt and debris. A liner that fits the factory mounting points stays secure and is less likely to rub against the tire. It is a good idea to check the opposite side and replace any broken fasteners at the same time.

If the other side is also damaged, the matching passenger-side fender liner for the Sonata lets you replace both together for an even, consistent look. To complete the repair, many owners also replace the 2020-2023 Hyundai Sonata front left fender panel. If you are not sure about fitment, have your VIN and the number from your original part ready before you order.

When you order, double-check the model year, the position on the vehicle and, where shown, the OEM reference number. Matching these details is the simplest way to make sure the replacement arrives ready to install on your Hyundai Sonata.

For a repair that looks right and fits the factory mounting points, this front left inner fender liner for the 2020-2022 Hyundai Sonata is a straightforward choice. Order it with confidence once you have confirmed your fitment details.
