For Tesla Model Y 2018-2022 Rear Door Shell Right Side

Description

2018-2022 Tesla Model Y Rear Right Door Shell: Direct-Fit Replacement

Restore the original look and function of your 2018-2022 Tesla Model Y with this rear right door shell for the passenger side. It is built as a vehicle-specific replacement for owners and repair shops who need a part that matches the factory design instead of a universal piece that has to be modified to fit.

A door shell is the bare outer structure of the door without the glass, regulator, wiring, trim panel or handles. It is used when the original door is too badly damaged to repair after a side impact or when rust has gone through the lower edge. For other vehicles and positions, see our door shells for collision repair. Body shops transfer the internal parts from the old door to the new shell and then prepare it for paint.

Insurance repairs, collision estimates and rust repairs often call for a replacement panel rather than hours of straightening. A new panel restores the correct body lines and gives the painter a clean surface, which helps the finished repair blend with the rest of the vehicle.

This part is listed for the Tesla Model Y in the following model years: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. It is for the passenger side (right) of the vehicle. If your Model Y needs other work, our selection of replacement parts for Tesla vehicles covers many more repairs. Before ordering, compare the part with the original or check the part number on your existing piece to make sure it matches your trim and options.

Preparing and Installing Your Model Y Door Shell

We recommend a professional body shop or experienced installer for this part. Test-fit the panel first, check the alignment with the neighboring panels and then remove it for paint preparation. It uses a bolt-on attachment at the factory mounting points. After painting, refit it on the factory mounting points and transfer any moldings, clips or brackets from the original part.

Body panels affect how the whole vehicle looks, so take the time to check alignment carefully before final installation. Small adjustments at the mounting points make a big difference to the gaps with the surrounding panels. Using a part designed for the Model Y reduces the amount of adjustment needed compared with a universal or modified part.

Replacing both sides at once keeps the finish matched, and the Tesla Model Y rear left door shell is available for the opposite side. To complete the repair, many owners also replace the Tesla Model Y front right door shell. If you are not sure about fitment, have your VIN and the number from your original part ready before you order.

When you order, double-check the model year, the position on the vehicle and, where shown, the OEM reference number. Matching these details is the simplest way to make sure the replacement arrives ready to install on your Tesla Model Y.

Choose this door shell when you want a direct replacement for your Tesla Model Y rather than a universal part. Confirm the year and side, then add it to your order.
