Description

2018-2022 Tesla Model Y Rear Bumper Cover: Direct-Fit Replacement

Looking for a replacement rear bumper cover for a 2018-2022 Tesla Model Y? This bumper cover is designed specifically for the Tesla Model Y, following the original part’s shape and mounting layout.

A cracked or torn bumper cover affects both the look and the aerodynamics of the vehicle, and loose sections can catch the wind at highway speed. It is part of our wider selection of replacement bumper covers. Replacing it with a cover shaped for the Model Y gives the body shop a clean surface to paint and mount on the factory brackets.

A panel usually needs replacing rather than repairing when the metal is creased along a body line, torn, stretched or rusted through. Heavy filler work on a damaged panel can crack later and rarely matches the factory shape, while a new panel gives a straight, consistent surface for paint and correct gaps to the surrounding parts.

Fitment is listed for Tesla Model Y model years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. As always, confirm the part number and trim level against your vehicle before installation. We stock a range of other Tesla parts, so it is easy to source everything for the repair in one place.

Preparing and Installing Your Model Y Bumper Cover

We recommend a professional body shop or experienced installer for this part. Test-fit the panel first, check the alignment with the neighboring panels and then remove it for paint preparation. It uses a bolt-on attachment at the factory mounting points. After painting, refit it on the factory mounting points and transfer any moldings, clips or brackets from the original part.

Whether you are a DIY owner or a professional repair shop, sourcing a part that is listed for your exact year, make and model saves time and avoids the frustration of returns. Take a moment to compare the replacement with your original part, check the surrounding components for damage and plan the repair before you start.

Body panels affect how the whole vehicle looks, so take the time to check alignment carefully before final installation. Small adjustments at the mounting points make a big difference to the gaps with the surrounding panels. Using a part designed for the Model Y reduces the amount of adjustment needed compared with a universal or modified part.

Damage in this area often affects nearby parts too, so you may also need the Tesla Model Y front left fender. For peace of mind, read our returns and refunds information before you order. If you are not sure about fitment, have your VIN and the number from your original part ready before you order.

Taking a minute to confirm the year, side and part number before ordering avoids delays and gets your Model Y back on the road sooner.

This rear bumper cover is a practical way to bring your Model Y back to a clean, factory-style condition. Check your fitment, confirm the part number, and order the replacement that matches your vehicle.
